Who we are

ClinicalFlow IT was founded by a husband-and-wife team who witnessed the challenges of healthcare firsthand — from both sides of the exam room.  My name is Dane, and I bring over 32 years of IT experience, including the last 11 years working exclusively in managed IT services. Throughout my career, the majority of my clients have been in the medical field. Today, I support a major national dialysis organization that spans more than 10 clinic locations and 200 employees — so when we say we understand the scale and complexity of healthcare IT, particularly in relation to HIPAA compliance, we mean it.  My wife, Dr. Rachel Wakatsuki, MD, is a licensed internal medicine physician with over 25 years of clinical experience. Her journey truly inspired the creation of ClinicalFlow IT. At her previous practice, there was a glaring lack of professional IT support — none. Technology issues were often handed off to family members lacking formal IT training, adequate security protocols, and accountability. The consequences were serious: workflows broke down, staff were deprived of essential tools, and the practice unknowingly committed multiple HIPAA violations that jeopardized patient data. As a physician focused on patient care, Dr. Wakatsuki frequently found herself calling me just to get basic systems functioning properly.  That's when it became clear: medical practices deserve better, especially when it comes to managed IT services.  We founded ClinicalFlow IT on the belief that no clinic should have to choose between quality patient care and reliable technology. By combining decades of hands-on IT and MSP expertise with real experience inside a medical practice, we built a company uniquely equipped to serve the healthcare community — not merely as an outside vendor, but as a partner who truly understands what's at stake in terms of HIPAA compliance.  ClinicalFlow IT is truly a family business — founded by husband and wife Dane and Rachel, and reinforced by Rachel's brother Greg, who brings decades of federal executive leadership to our operations.
